D18: 100 Years of Innovation
University of Sydney's Annual Design Exhibition 2018
Every year, the University of Sydney School of Architecture, Design and Planning holds an Annual Design Exhibition to showcase multiple projects, including web/mobile applications, VR experiences, lighting installations and other high-fidelity prototypes, that have been created by that year's graduating class. In 2018, the University of Sydney School of Architecture, Design and Planning partnered with society group, SUEDE, to hold a "lighting display designathon" to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the faculty. I was able to participate within a team of amazingly talented peers, and competed against 4 other teams of 3-5 people. Our team won first place and also had the opportunity to physically build our project, which has been permanently mounted at the entrance and exit of the Wilkinson Building, USYD.
My role:
- Concept artist
- Installation assistant
- Physical computing;
+ built individual bulbs
+ attached bulbs to hanging wire
